Goal Repetition

Start Today with reading or making a set of goals. It’s always good to have a few that are short term (today, a week, or even a month from now) and long term (One, five or 10 years). The more we remind ourselves of them, the more likely we are to achieve them. Rather than pushing them to the back of our minds in the “forget about it” section. Verbally repeat them and work towards the achievement of at least one of them a day. I promise you, this will improve your mood. Like Tony Robbins said. “Progress equals happiness.”

Self-Direction

Every day I can’t wake up without giving thanks. If I told you where I was six months ago you might not believe I’d have this mindset today. Let’s just say I was in a hopeless state of constant anxiety and depression, sprinkled with a few poor life choices. My continual self-direction was a key factor in achieving better mental health. They have grown an inner hero that quickly defeats any inner villain that tries to take over. Sadly, most of us have had the inner villain (doubt) win a battle or two. But, with practice we can make our inner hero (self-confidence) invincible. Every day, tell yourself “I can” or “I will” while avoiding “I won’t” or “I can’t”. Negative self talk is everyone’s kryptonite. At the end of the day. Anything that can be done by one flawed human being, can be done by another. Flaws are needed to humble us and remind us that no one is perfect or superior. Find the ones who are good at what you’re bad at and learn from them. Or let them “handle it” when those skills are required. All of our inner hero’s can team up and when yours is losing, you won’t have to struggle alone. Good friends will assure you that you “can” do it. These are the ones you’ll want to keep around. However, the ...
